The Secret Formula to Problem Solving.

Super interesting book....although very few people are excited by problem solving!! This book is applicable to our everyday personal and professional competencies. This book simplistically defines the best approach to problem solving in a repeatable method that optimizes the development of effective and efficient solutions that heighten productivity and diminishes waste. The graphics support the reading whether you are auditory or visual. The examples are easily understood. It is such a quick read that anyone from middle school to a Ph D. level can find value in this reading. I have referred this book to at least 7 people on my team. I am teaching a workplace course from this book beginning in January…wish me luck.

The author obviously has a deep experience in the area of Root cause analysis and covers every aspects of this subject. I am impressed by the systematic / structured approach recommended by the author.

The only thing that I can think of that I can make this book better is to provide examples of real problems and use the method to solve it using the various methods.That would have been very helpful.

Readable, concise and useful

Okes has done a remarkable job creating a book that is readable, concise and useful. There are several well-known books which will smother you with statistics and studies. Okes' book is a common sense introduction to root cause analysis that is general enough to be widely applicable, but specific enough to help most front-line people sharpen their troubleshooting process.

The examples are well-chosen and pointed, and the graphs and charts are explicit and well-explained.

If you need to troubleshoot or perform root cause analyses, this is an excellent book to keep on your bookshelf.

This book is a good starting place for community arts. It gives good ideas for someone looking to bring community cultural arts to their own community. Unfortunately, the author often wanders down unrelated paths to her political ideology.

i love srini! this book is outstanding. tons of my favorite stickers were in here.

my only disappointment was that these are paper stickers. i incorrectly assumed that these would be vinyl stickers like what are sold on the website.

Kid sister approved!

I am so proud of Srini -- this book so far is his crowning achievement. As an Indian kid, it took a lot of nerves for him to take the path he's chosen, or I should say, blaze a trail. As my mom likes to say, he was reading at 2, skipped the second grade, had 15 years of classical violin training and went to Stanford -- only to study Sociology and play in punk rock bands! All you misfit kids, honor students and ADD-sufferers will instantly understand the humor and genius behind this project. The point is to have fun and express yourself!

i have been keeping up with srini's stickers since i was 14 (i'm 20 now!), so i can't tell you how cool it is to have gotten 462 of them for under [...] bucks! ^_^ i used to try to scrimp and save and only buy the ones that i thought were essentials, but now i have most of my favorites and tons more!

yay, srini!

update: after using the stickers for awhile, i discovered they are not so good at sticking. they usually peel up w/in an hour or so. it's great to have them, i just wish i didn't have to carry tape around when i want to use them.
