Fantastic book. Highly recommended!

I originally bought the second edition of this book from Daniel's website. After suffering for 10 years from infertility, pain, and a gigantic swelling, I came came across Daniel's book for varicocele natural treatment. This book changed my life around. It's fantastic. Before, I was hopeless. I wanted to end my life. I am serious about this. I actually attempted suicide once. No amount of therapy was helping and none of the treatments I discussed with 3 different doctors was helpful in my case. But after reading this book, I had some hope. And then noticed results within a few weeks and after a few months I was completely pain free! My marriage is hopeful again and my wife gave birth to a beautiful girl. I now have full hope for the future. My fertility tests are all positive now. I have no more pain and almost no swelling. I was very happy the latest edition came out it has so much more info. I have to say that Daniel really helped change my life around. He was extremely caring when I first contacted him with my issues, and very supportive throughout. He clarified and explained in detail any questions that I had. It helped me overcome my depression that was mostly caused by pain and infertility. Thank you Daniel, you saved my life. I recommend this book to anyone who's in a similar situation and looking to change their life.

A Holistic Approach that Has Helped Me Heal

After going through three years of life-altering pelvic floor and varicocele pain, I finally found this book. I was looking for any way I could possibly heal myself in a natural and holistic way. I found that traditional medicine, visiting three different urologists, taking antibiotics, other prescriptions, and just being told "you are too young to even be having this type of pain" didn't get me anywhere. I actually purchased an ebook version of this guide about nine months ago, and recently purchased the paperback as I like the non-digital reference.

The author's personal experience was the strongest evidence and catalyst for the development of a recovery program that actually works. I like how it is also well researched and backed by studies and medical evidence. I personally give more weight to an individual or a friend's life experience than I do to a particular medical study, but regardless, it is good to have both.

The guide goes through a common sense overview of what causes varicocele, exercises, lifestyle changes, and other things I did not even realize. I was not aware that I needed to cool the testicles, and be very aware of drainage. I emailed the author asking for guidance in general and he was very helpful. He not only gave me some additional advice, but took into account my feedback, and seems to truly care. This is the go-to book if you will do whatever it takes to heal.

Grade 4 varicocele pain to No more

I usually don't write reviews but wanted to pass on this best information to men with varicocele pain like mine. I was diagonized with Grade 4 varicocele and had tried every medicine ~ naturopathy, Ayurvedic, home remedies and allopathic all with just reliefs lasting for just few days at the max and ineffective there on.
The methods on this book gave me immediate relief and now I know how and what to do to avoid the pain. Plus I stopped the gym that caused stress and moved on to Jogging + yoga and 2 portions of fruits per day to see a lot of difference in my life.
Must buy and practice for immediate results.

Intriguing!

Where the last installment of Shattered Empire gave us practically nothing new in the Star Wars universe, this ended up having quite a bit. Knowledge on the lineage of one of the new main characters in the Force Awakens, mysterious orders given to the Imperial remnant, and a plot point that could have ramifications later down the line. This one is the one you should definitely begin this new comic series with!

Art is top notch, excellent story. Nice fill in story for missing years in Star Wars history since they are changing story from the previous books, comics, etc. I really would recommend this series and all the new Star Wars comics

An excellent introduction to f-element chemistry

Scott and Kaltsoyannis have done a really fine job of preparing an entry-level textbook which deals with the chemistry of the lanthanide and actinide elements. It is written at a level suitable for advanced undergraduate and upward, and the authors are to be commended for their clear and concise explanations of some difficult concepts. This is a highly readable text that should be recommended to anyone wishing to obtain an overall picture of the physical and chemical trends within this often-neglected group of elements.

Written in the best of the modern tradition

Too many treatments of the lanthanides ends up with lists of data or a main focus on spin mulitiplisities and terms. I'm not sure how many there are that understands the last topic, and can apply it to anything. This book take a broader and more coherent view of the chemistry of the f-group. Many parts are eminent. And the only I could wish more of would a be some few extra sentences about the molecule orbitals in the actinide complexes, ...just to make it even smoother to read.

Older work, but compatible still .. missing the CD, waiting for the CD

The book is for an older version of 3DSMax, but it is nice (for a newbie). However, it does depend upon the CD .. and in this case the CD has not yet shipped, as the envelope for it in the book was empty.

I am awaiting the vendor's choice of delivery; download would be fine. I certainly hope they can locate the information, as the lessons in the book all hinge on having the files from the CD!

Excellent book on special effects

This is an excellent book for learning special effects. Don't bother buying Max 3 Effects because this book has WAY more effects, better quality and better content-range of effects, it's way better value for your money, and it's entirely applicable to the new versions of Max, not too much has changed.
It tells you how to make cool water effects, build land geometry, do space effects, some cool weather effects, and more. If you just want to make terrain and water this book will be a great help. Or if you want to make a space scene this book has some great help in that area too to easily make starfields, planets, etc.
The quality here of what you can make (for the most part) is completely professional looking. It's full color all the way through as well which is a bonus for the price of the book. I've been into computer graphics since I was a kid, and although I'm just starting to properly learn Max now after using it for over a year, this book is a great help to get some cool effects easily.
You'll want to have a basic knowledge of the Max interface, because the book is very succinct. Also just by reading it and playing with Max you'll learn new things about the Material Editor and other areas that will help you overall doing 3d Animation.

Very useful book

I really find this book is a lot of fun. Not every effect is perfect, however, they don't need to be. I almost never use the effect the way they are defined in this book, but the great thing about this book is it gives you many starting ideas, from which you can tweak and change to come up with your own brilliant effects. If you have no imagination and just want to copy effects, then maybe this book isn't for you. If however you love to explore and experiment, seeking new and dazzling artistic effects, but would like a few clues how to get started, then this is a great place to begin. Let's face it, Max is huge and complex and there is a dizzying array of choices. I find it really useful to see how Carbonaro does it, then take his ideas and add my own. This book is for the artists, not the technicians.

Excellent book for adult learners

As an adult who has been studying French for 5+ years and who is competent in both grammar and vocabulary, I find this book very helpful to my conversational skills. Lots of phrases, expressions and idioms that are useful and easy to incorporate into my heretofore formal sentences. Pertinent grammar reviews without overdoing what I already know. My teacher (who taught French for 25 years in an Atlanta private school) loves the book as do other of her more advanced students.

Intermediate Level ~ Great for Review

This book is great for review. You learn to speak contemporary French and common expressions.

I think it would be difficult for a beginner to just dive in. It's geared for intermediate students says the publisher. I like the content of the conversations, the French turns of phrase it teaches, and the smattering of grammar review it provides.

Agree with others that auditory would be nice. However, if you're familiar with French pronunciation, it's not absolutely necessary and might raise the price.

I'm using this for review over the summer to pick up some common phrases and way of speaking.

While I am sure the book, in book form is very good, in Kindle form it is useless.
One can increase the size of the font to one letter a page, but the examples and tests stay absolutely minute!
Therefore, it's a total waste of money.

I didn't just read it, I devoured it.

A excellent collection of essays. Any skeptic or non believer can find words of wisdom in this book. I only wish that some of my religious friends and family would read this. One author who stood out was Casper Rigsby. In the last essay he says that we have to speak out and he's right. Yes, people are allowed to believe whatever they want. But by the same token, we are allowed to criticize and not only does this book do that, but it does so in a thorough and logical manner. It breaks issues down into sections and you get many points of view on certain subjects. Which is great because if you don't quite agree with one, then you get another point of view soon after. This is the kind of book that can be easily read in your spare time, leaving you with the option of putting it down, even frequently if needs be (great if you have a busy schedule!).

some of the essays were better than others

I was interested in learning more about the thoughts of agnostics and atheists and this book provided it. Naturally, some of the essays were better than others, but that is to be expected. Overall, the book met my expectations.
