About the Author
David Spark has been Assistant Editor of The Northern Echo and Assistant London Editor for Westminster Press Provincial Newspapers. He is now a freelance writing on science, small businesses and overseas development. He is the author of A Journalist's Guide to Sources (Focal Press 1996) and Who to Ask About Developing Countries, published in 1992. He edits the Commonwealth Journalist's Association Newsletter.

News Of The World

This is a fine book, but a warning: having been written by Brits for Brits, it is (understandably) Anglo-centric. Unless you are planning on covering the Coventry city council or writing up scorecards for Cricket matches, this book may not be for you. Yanks should search out an American alternative.
